Yeovil Town Station was a busy and interesting station that is now but a distant memory. This 00 finescale layout was started in 1978 and got as far as the track being laid before it went into a period of storage. More recently the layout has been moved to our clubroom, refurbished, rewired for DCC operation with MIMIC panel and an extensive fiddle yard constructed suitable for continuous running.
It is intended that this layout will progress to become a high quality exhibition model. At present the layout represents the 1950’s era but the feeling is to now move it back to the turn of the (20th) century and may be have some replacement buildings and stock to run it in a later period.
