Following on from the last instalment of BB, we move onto fixing the brake gear.

There’s not a lot of room between the wheels. Enough to short out any metal brake shoes and hangers! Next the old metal cross members, hangers and brake shoes.

Left: Dave kept the original brass rodding and replaced the cross members with 40 thou plasticard. I drilled and tapped the end edges 16 BA for the bottom end of the hangers. Right: Components of the assembly.
